day 3 Book [06 Sep 2009|10:52am]
okay so i might as well get day 3 done today as well and then catch up with day 4 later today.

The book is "Death in the Haymarket: A Story of Chicago, the First Labor Movement and the Bombing that Divided Gilded Age America "

Its not as well written as i hoped it would be but its a great book about the stuggle of the left in Chicago and the growth of the early trade union movement at the time. Also it tells us what really happened on the first Mayday and how it came about in its modern form.

Also the author has done a 20min speech on his book on an Album called "Long live the Anarchist Revolutionaries" by a band called "Louis Lingg and the Bombs" (you will get the name reference if you read or listen to the track.

day 2 (only 2 days late) [06 Sep 2009|10:47am]
the picture is one of the g8 protests in Genoa. this was the protest where is finally became apparent of how far the state was willing to go to protect the system when they murdered a protestor at point blank range (its not a pic of the dead body)

damm you internet [15 Jun 2009|06:05pm]
so for months of having no spare cash i finally get enough together (helped by a small win on the lottery) to buy some new tech.
These months of looking on hotukdeals and seeing all the lovely computers,tv's and other assorted tech crap i dont really need but REALLY want, that i cant afford seemed worthwile.
Surely there would be things there i can afford now one would think? Of course there isnt and everytime i look it seems to get worse.
I will of course be treating my lovely bobby to some nice things as i can afford it now.
apart from that i have a rather nice headache and meatloaf for dinner.

RULES:
1. You can ONLY answer 'Yes' or 'No'.
2. You are NOT ALLOWED to explain ANYTHING unless someone messages or comments you and asks.

It's hard not to elaborate on most of these, even though not many of them are very exciting, but I'll resolutely stick to the rules and you can leave a comment if you would like something explained.

hi i now, thanks to bobby, have a twitter account. I give it 5 more days before i stop updating it and start doing what i normally do with things like LJ,Facebook, blip.fm etc etc and that is go one once a month and possibly maybe think about updating.
That said though, since im in the initial rush of enthusiasm, about Twitter if anyone on my pals list has a twitter account we should follow each other.

le weekend [18 May 2009|03:59pm]
Okay so the second long weekend off work in May is coming to a close and what a great weekend it was.

I had Friday to myself and i spent the time playing Mad World on the Wii and doing the normal internet stuff. Its a great game if all you wanna do is run around with either a chainsaw, double knives, double chainsaw etc etc and chop people in half or quarter or smaller if you so wish.

Also on Friday my flatmates went camping for the weekend which gave me some much needed time alone with Bobby in the flat.

I met Bobby on Saturday afternoon and we did couply stuff all weekend. Clothes shopping, shopping for my dads 65th present etc etc. A good weekend was had by both.
Now im getting ready to go back to work tommorow but no fear as its only a 3 day week as i have Friday off and the Monday after is a bank holiday so YAY.

[10 May 2009|11:45pm]

Other than that not much special happening with me at the moment apart from the usual meh and i should get out more stuff.

Also, and this will only make sense to one of you, im not the only one ive found hunderds of people with the same problem.

short rant [17 Apr 2009|12:45pm]
So apparently you can toture people in secret prisons all over the world and get away with it but if you run a popular search engine for bit torrent you get sent to jail for one year and a massive fine, go figure?
